Last Wednesday, September 30th the Weston Zoning Board of Appeals approved the 22 additional on-street parking places for The Woods restaurant. Currently, the Tavern provides 43 on-site parking spaces, and the plans approved in 2019 and subsequently permitted by the Building Inspector incorporated 12 on-street spaces into the parking capacity – bringing parking up to 55 spaces. The final 22 spaces were needed to satisfy the Bylaws parking requirement of a total of 77 parking places for the restaurant.
With this critical milestone passed there are still a few hurdles ahead before shovels can hit the ground. Most importantly, Weston Select Board and Boston Urban Hospitality are working to finalize an amendment to the original sublease.
